Toot! Toot!

So, Triathablog has gotten pretty much awesome. Or at least, people are starting to realize how awesome it is.

Check us out at Southern Living.com!

And on CommuteSmart's facebook page. did I mention they interviewed me and want me to do some press for them?!

Maybe we should help sponsor a cycling hoedown...oh wait, we ARE!

Stay tuned for news regarding another B.I.G collaboration.

If you are going to do it...

You might as well look good!

You may have noticed (especially if you are following Triathablog), that I am a little excited (obsessed?) with cycling right now. One teensy problem has been figuring how to look cute when I get to, say Bottletree or Urban Standard. I found this great website Copenhagen Cycle Chic, sort of a Sartorialist for cyclists and fell in love.

I am now riding a bike that is not a step through. Gone are the days of wearing skirts while riding...or so I thought. Then I saw this photo and realized that the answer to my problem is to be found at my local Urban Outfitters. Leggings! and mini skirts! and legwarmers! all the things I love.

I can't wait until it gets a bit colder...I am going to be Rockin' the cycling style in Birmingham.

of course, I still want one of each of these for more serious riding.

All from Harlot, a women's cycling apparel shop. How can you not love a company who has this written on their website:

Many people ask us about the name Harlot. Certainly, an old word for prostitute might seem like an odd thing to name a company after. We actually have a good reason that makes sense to us. It involves the history of women on bicycles, the reclaiming of a derogatory word, and little tongue-in-cheek fun.

see you on the roads...I'll be the one NOT in spandex

My Angel is the centerfold

Photo entry. What I have been up to for the last few weeks. Hopefully things will settle down a bit. Camping this weekend and riding Mick (bike). Rode into work yesterday and am pretty effing proud of that! It was to the Sheraton and I had to carry 2 changes of clothes, work 15 hours in heels and ride home. Don't regret it! I am really feeling the city on the bike. The subtle weather changes, the smells and the tone and life of the city in it's quietest moments. loving it.

So, here is what I have been doing:

concert at Bottletree. Great Book of John. check em out. first time to ride bike to a bar!

hanging with fellow Triathabloggers

Triathablog Kick off party. the paperwork, the excitement, the best online contest ever (besides Cheap Women of course!)

the support.

and finally: Convention for work. where I have spent 36 hours in 3 days. But check out my bounty! seeming a little more fun when I look at it like this...

75+ books and 12 tote bags! met fun authors (R.L Stine, Greg Mortensen, John Grogan among many others), cocktail parties every night. I.am.exhausted.
